Today, There was a story on the news that caught my attention. http://kstp.com/article/stories/S11644.html?cat=1

The interesting part of the article to me was the part where the "defrocked pastor" said,

"There's really no question that the United Methodist Church practices discrimination. That's been made abundantly clear."

In the Bible it says men should not lay with men. Does that make Jesus a biggot?

Jesus is not a bigot rather he his pointing us back, reaffirming the orginal design and plan for God's creation. It may seem like it's God who's ways are wronmg or too narrow, when the truth is God's way's are safer, healther, and best.

I'm not a homophobic, but I don't agree with the gay life-style as a choice. I don't agree with it, yet I love those that are stuck in it. I can be strongly apposeed to something, speak my mind and not be a bigot.... because I still love the person as God does. IT hard to see and ofren hard to seperate... but it can be done.

I think you hit the nail on the head Rich. That's really what i was looking for. I have friends who are homosexuals and they are blown away by our line of thinking. They keep thinking everybody in churches just hate them. It's sad that they are so wrong!!

I wish that my (our) frame of thinking was the norm in the Christian world. But I have to admit, it may not be. There is a large group of "Christians" that really look at the gay life as too wicked. So I understand why your gay friends "feel that churches just hate them".

I hope that day by day, we, along with other Christ-followers can change that perception and share the truth of God's love.
